Two Charged in Thunder Bay Homicide

Two people have been charged with homicide following the death of a Thunder Bay assault victim.

The assault happened in the early morning hours of Thursday, Jan. 9, at a home on Syndicate Avenue North.  An 18-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman were assaulted.

The 18-year-old victim died of his injuries a few days later.  A post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place in Toronto on Jan. 16.

Police say two male suspects, age 19 and 14, have now been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, break and enter, and disguise with intent.  The 19-year-old, who is from Thunder Bay, is also charged with two counts of assault with weapon.
