SUV and Bus Collide, Injuring 3 and Damaging Building

Three people are injured and a building is damaged after a vehicle collided with a bus Tuesday morning in Duluth's Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The sport utility vehicle collided with a Duluth Transit Authority bus at about 8:44 a.m. at the intersection of 24th Avenue West and 3rd Street.  The driver of the SUV and two people on the bus were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The SUV appeared to have significant damage to its passenger side. The extent of damage to the building was not immediately released.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, but say the SUV may have gone through a red light.
