Police say the death of a man in a Fort Frances business is suspicious, but they do not believe there is a threat to public safety.

Ontario Provincial Police say officers investigating another matter found Daniel Morrison dead at a Portage Avenue business on Tuesday. Morrison, 37, was from Lac La Croix First Nation.

An autopsy was conducted Wednesday in Kenora; a news release issued Thurday morning did not reveal the cause of death. The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are assisting the OPP in the investigation.

Police are asking the public for tips in their investigation. People can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
