On Friday the Hermantown Police took a report of two males attempting to take a child from a mother at Walmart.

An adult female was using the self-checkout lane with her child in the cart. Two males in the same area began to pay attention to the mother and child and appeared to take photos on their cell phone.

They then walked up to the female and one said the child was his and reached toward the child.

The mother told him it was not his child and the two males left without further incident.

The mother did not know the two men.
