Superior's tree lighting ceremony has been postponed thanks to the incoming weather.

It's being moved from Saturday, Nov. 30 to Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The ceremony will start at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Santa arrives around 4:40, and the tree will be lit at about 5:30.

"It was necessary to reschedule as the forecast is for snow and high winds," Jodi Rochon of the Superior Business Improvement District wrote.

She said those conditions don't mix with the fire pit area or the canopy tents they planned to put up to serve cookies and beverages.
