The Superior Police Department is holding a community meeting regarding the release of three registered sex offenders.  According to a press release the three men will reside at the Transitional Living Place, also known as the TLP House at 1620 N 16th St, in Superior.

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections issued a Special Bulletin Notice (SBN) for two of the offenders, Phillip Bacon and Steven Metzig. Authorities say the SBN is the rough equivalent of a Level 3 Sex Offender notice.  Police say the third registered sex offender, Michael Garcia, is not subject to an SBN.

Phillip Bacon will be released July 19. Steven Metzig and Michael Garcia will be released July 23.

The meeting will be held at the Douglas County Government Center on Wednesday, July 10th at 5:00 PM. The meeting is open to the public, and will be held on the 2nd floor.

The community is being notified of the release of the registered sex offenders through public notices, community meetings and door-to-door delivery of notices.
