The Superior Police Department posted on Facebook that there was a copycat post threatening violence going around on social media.

Authorities say they "quickly identified the individual responsible for the post" and the threat was not credible.

There was an increased police presence at Superior schools Monday, and officers will continue to be there Tuesday.

"Although we understand the fear that these events generate we urge calm," the department posted on Facebook.
