It's National Catholic Schools Week, and Stella Maris Academy is doing plenty of things to celebrate.

At the Holy Rosary campus on Tuesday, kids were able to dress up in superhero costumes. The theme was spearheaded by Amanda Tessier, who got the idea from her son's birthday party.

"Today, kids got to act like superheroes and do different challenges, and show what they learned," she explained. There was a virtue challenge set up in one of the rooms.

"Yesterday we had superheroes come in from our community, like a K-9 officer and firefighter and fighter pilot," shared Peggy Frederickson, the principal at Holy Rosary.

St. John's and St. James are doing events as well.

The entire week will close in celebration with the Winter Wonderland all-campus family dance at St. James on Friday at 6:30pm.
