One of the activities offered at the fair is the Farmer for a Day program which allows kids to walk through different activities that simulate life on a farm.

Bonnie Siiro has been coordinating the program since it began in 2003. She said it also serves as a community service project for area students going into their senior year.

In their day in the life of a farmer, kids can milk a wooden cow named Bessie, pick a toy apple off a tree, dig a potato out of the potato patch, take an egg from a chicken in the barn, and take all of their goods to the market place. Along the way they learn about each part of the process and discuss things like the different foods you can make with potatoes.

A full schedule of activities can be found here. Admission at the gate is $5 for adults and is free for children 12-years-old and under.
