The event was hosted to raise funds for the Solid Rock Safe Haven organization, a homeless shelter in Superior for adult men. The shelter has a soup kitchen and helps those in the shelter become self sufficient. It's been around since 1938.

"Our community has seen an increase in homelessness. That need has not gone away, even since Solid Rock was started in 1938. This event is to try and help us to try to keep up with our operations," Millie Rounsville, the CEO for Northwest Wisconsin Community Services, said.

For $7 folks enjoyed a delicious pancake meal that came with sausage and juice.

The fundraiser featured a football raffle for everyone to sign up for as well.

Solid Rock is always taking donations. If you would like to help, you can drop off donations at Solid Rock, located on 1004 N. 6th Street.
