Duluth Police are investigating a shots fired incident. Around 12:30am Tuesday, officers were called out to the report of a robbery in the area of 24th Avenue West and 3rd Street.

When they were investigating, they heard the sound of gunshots. Police said they saw a vehicle drive away at a high rate of speed.

They stopped the vehicle a few blocks away, at 24th Avenue West and 6th Street. According to the officers, they found evidence of the shooting.

No one was hurt and police believe the people involved know each other. The suspect has been lodged at the jail on assault, threats of violence, and reckless discharge. The investigation continues.
