“First, I want to just thank the Duluth Superior Pride Committee for your work over the last 34 years,” said Smith in the message, “I’m so proud to represent you and I’m so proud of your commitment to lifting up and supporting and celebrating LGBTQ+ Minnesotans.”

This years in-person Duluth Superior Pride Festival had to be cancelled, but it was revived virtually.

The virtual festival started Thursday and will continue until Monday.
