Reinert, of Duluth, said he's been called up as a naval reservist, to serve as the Director of Public Affairs for the CSTC Afghanistan. CSTC stands for Combined Security Transition Command.  He's a Lt. Commander in the Reserve.

We spoke with Reinert over the phone on Tuesday. He told us, "I'm not eager to leave home for a year. But the whole point of being a Reservist is being ready and able to support the active duty forces. And my going means someone else gets to come home."

He has been in law school for the past couple of years, and does get to finish his last semester before he leaves.
