Roads Still Slick, Semi Crashes Into Ditch Off I-35

The sun was shining on this very cold Tuesday. But the remnants of the freezing rain and snow from Sunday are still stuck on the roads in some places.

On Tuesday afternoon, there was a semi truck that had slid into the ditch off southbound I-35. It was just south of Midway Road.

State troopers were on scene. A MnDOT plow was also protecting the scene for a short time, and then MnDOT brought additional signage out to warn drivers to slow down.

According to the St. Louis County Rescue Squad, they responded to nine accidents in a two mile stretch from Boundary Avenue and Midway Road on Monday night. 

While protecting one of those scenes, one of rescue squad's trucks took a hit from another driver. The rescue squad post said the rescue squad member is fine.  The rescue squad also said that two state trooper squads were hit, but the troopers are fine too.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles.
