Starting at 2pm on Friday, residents who were displaced from their apartments in Virginia Wednesday will be allowed back to return. About 150 had been evacuated due to a boiler problem that left the buildings with no heat.
That's the latest update from the Virginia Housing and Redevelopment Authority.
"We want this to be an orderly return for all residents," said Dana Hiltunen, Executive Director of the Virginia Housing and Redevelopment Authority. "We want to avoid congestion at the two buildings, and that is why we are asking residents to abide by the 2pm return time."
There is some water damage to several apartments, and those people have been advised to stay where they are, Hiltunen added.
Arrowhead Transit will be taking the residents back.
