Remer, Minn. -  A 46-year-old Hill City man was injured in a house explosion in the City of Remer on Wednesday, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.  Sheriff Tom Burch said they received a call about an explosion at a residence at 11:51 AM on August 14.

Deputies and first responders arrived and found, Kenny Hilton at the residence with burns and serious injuries. Authorities say Hilton had been performing furnace service work on a propane furnace when the explosion occurred.  Hilton was the only person at the residence at the time of the incident and he was transported via North Memorial Air Care to a Twin Cities Hospital.

Family and friends of Kenny Hilton have set up a GoFundMe page to help with expenses. 

The incident remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office. Assisting at the scene was Remer Ambulance and Remer Fire Department.
