Brent Ebert has been stepping onto Gina Wright Christenson's door step in Hibbing for about five years now, delivering mail and a smile.
But recently, he brought something priceless with him. Hope.
He shaved his head, to show his support for Gina's hair loss. She is fighting a second battle with ovarian cancer. Chemotherapy lead to her hair falling out. So her sister shaved it all off on New Year's Eve.
"It's still hard. It never gets easy. It never feels good, you never feel pretty," Gina shared.
She didn't want Brent to be surprised by her new look. So she told him about it that next week. "He kind of looked at me, and said, you're going to do just fine."
He went home, and thought about how he could make her feel better. "I didn't want her to feel alone. So I can shave my hair, it's just hair for me."
The next day, he knocked on the door and pulled off his hat. Gina was shocked. "He said, I just wanted to let you know we're in this together."
And he doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon. He's already shaved it again. "It was all about Gina. And how she feels. It's not just my job. It's really a life," Brent added.
"People like Brent come along, and it's just so touching. They are the ones who carry us through things like this," Gina said.
