Dexter Ojeda was just like any other seven-year-old kid when he found out he had neuroblastoma, a cancer that forms in the nerve tissue.
"I couldn't leave the house very much, I couldn't run, I couldn't walk very far," Dexter Ojeda said.
After a year and a half of an exhausting fight, Dexter was cancer-free.
"The reality of it is he fought," Dexter's dad, Manny Ojeda, said. "Very very very hard," Dexter's mom, Jenny St. George said.
This April, his family received devastating news. The cancer had returned, but this time there was no cure.
Now at only 10-years-old, Dexter and his family are fulfilling the wishes on his bucket list.
"I want to be happy and do stuff while I still can," Dexter told Eyewitness News.
"We're building enough memories to last our lifetimes," Manny said.
