The graduating class from Proctor visited their former elementary schools, Bay View and Pike Lake, in their caps and gowns to celebrate their last days of high school with elementary kids and former teachers.
This was a part of the annual grad walk.
WDIO caught up with the class Salutatorian, Sophia Morin-Swanson, on what the experience was like. “It goes by a lot faster than I actually thought it would,” she said. “It’s pretty cliché, but it’s the truth. Don’t take it for granted. It’s so much fun just make it as fun as possible.”
Sophia got to see her younger cousins and her mother is the principal of Bay view. She also says that Proctor Schools will always feel like home to her.
The school is celebrating with an in-person commencement ceremony at the DECC on Sunday, June 5th at 6:00 pm.
