For 88 days, authorities responded to thousands of tips from community members. From the beginning, Barron County authorities promised to bring Jayme home, and they delivered.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald praised his entire team for everyone's efforts.

Shortly after Jayme was taken into protective custody, authorities located and arrested their suspect, 21 year old Jake Thomas Patterson. He was found in his vehicle, and it's believed he was attempting to find Jayme, who had escaped Patterson's home in Gordon.

Patterson faces two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of kidnapping.

Sheriff Fitzgerald says the investigation remains active and fluid, and asks that the community respects the family's privacy during this emotional time of reunion.
