Police investigate Pride flag vandalism in Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay Police are asking victims to come forward after vandalism to a Pride flag and reports of other recent similar incidents.

The documented case happened on Momday evening, when police received reports of a man vandalizing a homeowner's Pride flag on Marks Street South near Walsh Street. The Thunder Bay Police Service's Community Inclusion Team is investigating the incident and asking for people in the neighborhood to check surveillance camera footage.

Police say there have also been conversations on social media about other similar incidents of vandalism involving Pride signs, "Hate Has No Home Here" signs, and orange t-shirts. Police are asking victims to make official reports so that the incidents can be investigated.
