The DFD provided an escort to nine-year-old Elizabeth Luiten's Duluth home. Community members watched as the fire truck pulled up to her home.

Firefighters surprised her and gave her well wishes and offered plenty of love and support.

They also spoiled her with a couple of gifts and gave her a tour of the fire truck. Elizabeth is an almost five year cancer survivor.

She was diagnosed with acute lymphoma when she was only two, and almost died from the disease.

Elizabeth is cancer free and continues to be in recovery.
