A pavement planing project is set to begin Monday on Highway 61 from the Crow Creek to the Gooseberry River.

Motorists can expect to encounter lane closures Mondays through Thursdays, however there will be no lane closures on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, according to MnDOT.

MnDOT says the pavement is being planed to provide a smoother ride.

The project is scheduled to be completed May 30.
