“It has been an honor to represent the citizens of eastern Duluth for the past 6 years on the St. Louis County board with the last year as chair. I will be asking again for their vote this fall," Boyle said in a press release.

Boyle's goals for the campaign are to maintain a fiscally strong budget and continue to invest in the community.

“Over the 10-plus years of serving the community in public office, first on the City Council and now on the County Board, I have learned how to be a strong voice for our region and build relationships. In a time of deep divisions in our society, I have the skills to work with other elected officials in collaboration to accomplish common goals for our region. These relationships have helped me formulate policies which are efficient and helpful for our community," Boyle said.
