On Monday night, Essentia Health hosted their Passport to Adventure event held at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Sports Center. It's all about getting families excited to have a healthy summer.

"I think these are the types of events that really make the communities in the Twin Ports area fantastic to raise a family in, and to be a part of," said Nick Flint, a Superior community member, who was at the event with his wife and three kids.

Kids jumped in a bounce house, played soccer, and enjoyed other fun games and activities.

There was also a healthy, community dinner to encourage healthy eating habits. A bike rodeo, and bike helmet giveaway were also part of the event.

Local emergency services were also on hand to get kids comfortable with them before they're needed.
