Passport to Adventure Promotes an Active and Healthy Summer

It is now officially summer, and this is the time for kids and families to get outside and enjoy the weather.

On Monday night, Essentia Health hosted their Passport to Adventure event held at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Sports Center. It's all about getting families excited to have a healthy summer.

"I think these are the types of events that really make the communities in the Twin Ports area fantastic to raise a family in, and to be a part of," said Nick Flint, a Superior community member, who was at the event with his wife and three kids.

Kids jumped in a bounce house, played soccer, and enjoyed other fun games and activities. 

There was also a healthy, community dinner to encourage healthy eating habits. A bike rodeo, and bike helmet giveaway were also part of the event.

Local emergency services were also on hand to get kids comfortable with them before they're needed.
