Deputies say they responded to the multiple ATV crash on Forest Service Road 601 around 3:45 p.m. Initial investigation shows a side-by-side ATV first rolled over on a hill, and then the second ATV ran into it.

The Sheriff's Office says the driver of the first ATV, a 28-year-old man from New Braunfels, Texas, was treated and released with minor injuries. The passenger, a 41-year-old man from Iowa City, Iowa, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to a Duluth hospital for treatment. No one in the second ATV was injured.

Authorities say it appears speed was a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
