The homes would be built by a company called Lotus, whom Brad Johnson is the Developer for. The Duluth News Tribune quoted Johnson as saying that these homes would be perfect for 'empty nesters.' In other words, anyone young and without children or anyone old and looking for a place to settle down for good.

According to the Duluth News Tribune, Lotus would like to build nine single dwelling family homes and sixteen townhome units off Marble Street. In the new neighborhood which would be called ‘Harbor Light’, there would be a church and a Kwik Trip gas station.

This proposed development is made possible by a vote that took place earlier this week by the Duluth Planning Commission. Here, they voted 9-0 to support a zoning change from single family residential to planned residential.

Johnson estimates that the homes will be affordable for the most part, with rent and mortgage payments comparing favorably to others in the area and hopes that people will like them.
