The patrol says 75-year-old Lorraine Elizabeth Connor was driving a 2004 Volvo S80 northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 53 north of Willow River Road, when she collided head-on with a 2011 Chevy Silverado in the southbound lane. The patrol says this caused the Chevy to spin and roll, striking a 2016 Freightliner tractor in the southbound lane.

Connor died as a result of the crash.

The driver and passenger in the Chevy suffered minor injuires, while the driver of the Freightliner tractor was uninjuired, the patrol says.

The patrol says it is "unknown" whether alcohol was a factor for Connor, but that it wasn't involved for any of the other parties in the crash.
