"The Great Christmas Light Fight" Filmed at Bentleyville

A national television program was filmed at Bentleyville on the night of Wednesday, November 28.

"The Great Christmas Light Fight" is the name of the show, but that information was not allowed to be released until December 10, which is when the filming of the show concluded. 

The show is a competition to choose the best Christmas light displays in the country.

Bentleyville is expected to be in season 7 of the show, which will air at an undetermined date in 2019.

The light displays Bentleyville is competing against were not able to be released, as it would reveal specific details of the show before they air.

On the night of Wednesday, November 28 crews were recording judge Taniya Nakak at Bentleyville, who in the show, will choose which light display is the best in the country. 

The Northland community came out to be part of the recording of the show, and the first 1,000 people received Bentleyville hats.

Tracy Vargason is on the Bentleyville Board of Directors, and says that Bentleyville was first told they were being nominated for the show over the summer.

She says it's been a "very exciting" time.

The production crew first came Tuesday, November 27 to start recording, and continued through Thursday, November 29. 

The lights at Bentleyville were expected to stay on till 2:00 on the morning of Thursday, November 29 due to the filming of the show.
