Chloe Noelle Hietala from Two Harbors has been found safe, authorities announced on Facebook.

Police had been asking for the public's help locating the 17-year-old.

"Thank you to everyone who shared, helped and kept an eye out for her. A special thank you to our law enforcement family for being diligent in our efforts on this and everything else we are responsible for," the Two Harbors Police Department wrote on Facebook.

The Two Harbors Police Department said they received a request to attempt to locate Chloe at approximately 1:04 a.m. this morning. Police say she had contact with the Cloquet Police Department on Monday at 10:19 p.m. at the Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College campus housing.

Authories reported Hietala was going to go to her sister's residence in Duluth but never arrived.
