Missing Fishermen Found on Lake of the Woods

Searchers have found two American fishermen who had been missing on the Canadian side of Lake of the Woods for several days.

The men, age 43 and 75, had last been seen Tuesday on a boat near Fadden's Island.  They were reported missing Wednesday.

Ontario Provincial Police say the men were found Friday after a search that involved two OPP divisions, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Canadian Military, and other community partners.  

The men were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.  Authorities did not provide other information about the men's whereabouts for the past several days.

The names and hometowns of the men were not released, but an OPP spokesperson said they are from the U.S.

Fadden's Island is about 35 miles north of Baudette, Minn., by air.
