Minnesota Man Dies in Quetico Provincial Park

Ontario authorities say a suburban Twin Cities man died in Quetico Provincial Park last weekend.

An Ontario Provincial Police news release issued late Wednesday night indicates the death happened on Saturday, June 15.  The OPP was notified of a man in distress and receiving CPR near the Cache Bay Ranger Station on Saganaga Lake, which is along the U.S.-Canada border.

First responders from Cook County, Minnnesota, also responded to the proximity of the incident to the U.S.

Despite efforts to revive him, 71-year-old Craig Sicard of Minnetonka was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP says the death is not suspicious.
