A medical examiner has ruled that blunt force trauma caused the death of a man who was injured at Grand Casino Hinckley earlier this year.

The Pine County Sheriff's Office says 58-year-old Donald Ross McElderry, Jr., was pushed by an acquaintance at the casino on Jan. 2.  He was bleeding from the ear and taken to North Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has now ruled the death was the result of blunt force trauma.

The sheriff's office said witnesses and the suspect were cooperative at the scene.  No arrests have been made, but the Pine County Attorney's office is reviewing the case for possible charges.
