Duluth Concert Postponed due to Medical Emergency

An hour before its concert was scheduled to begin, the rock group Five Finger Death Punch has postponed its concert at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center's Amsoil Arena.


The group announced on social media that the concert is being postponed due to a medical emergency with lead guitarist Jason Hook. The new date of the concert has not been announced.

The group said more information will be posted on its website,

Fans had already been streaming into the DECC for the concert when the announcement was made.  DECC staff members told people to hang onto their tickets until the new date is announced. If they can't make the new date, they would be refunded. 

One woman who had been planning to attend the concert told WDIO she was "super disappointed."

"It was like a dream come true, honestly. I've always wanted to see them in concert," Shannon Swonger said. 

Andy Herrmann's ticket was a surprise Christmas gift from his parents. He drove to Duluth from Cross Lake, Minn. 

"As soon as the announcement came over, my heart just sank," he said. "People have flown, drove, even walked to see these guys live."
