A man suffered non-life threatening injuries to his ear and head after a shooting incident in Duluth's East Hillside neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

At 12:30 p.m. Duluth Police officers responded to the report of a shooting on the 600 block of E 4th St.

Duluth Police said when they arrived on scene they found a 42-year-old male victim with non-life threatening injuries to his ear and surface of his head.

Upon preliminary investigation, officers were able to confirm one shot was fired.

The victim and suspect are known to each other and there is no threat to the public.

Officers are working to positively identify the suspect by conducting interviews, canvassing the neighborhood, and reviewing surveillance footage.

The Duluth Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance were also on scene.

No arrests have been made at this time. Duluth Police said they will provide more information as the investigation progresses.
