Authorities have located a 48-year-old Hibbing man, who escaped from the Northeast Regional Corrections Center in Saginaw on Sunday afternoon.

Multiple agencies responded to the NERCC around 2:30 pm Sunday for a report of an inmate that walked away from the facility. He was identified as Jesse James Crabtree.

Authorities say it is believed that Crabtree had contacted someone to pick him up prior to fleeing from the facility.

St. Louis County Deputies, St. Louis County Rescue Squad Members, and the Hermantown Police with a K9 responded to the scene.

He was located Sunday evening when someone from Industrial Township reported a suspicious person on their property. The St. Louis County sherrif's office and K-9 Donny and a drone team located him inside of a swamp.

He was arrested and is currently being held in the St. Louis County jail.
