A Willow River man who drove across a Pine County river, killing his passenger has pleaded guilty to one count of felony Criminal Vehicular Homicide.

Court documents say 43-year-old Preston Prokasky drove across the Kettle River in September while using methamphetamine.

The body of his passenger, Eugene Oestreich was found inside the car in about 14 feet of water.

Prokasky is now set to be sentenced on April 7.

If convicted, he could face a maximum of ten years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine.
