Miller Hill Mall Opens New Kids Play Area

The Miller Hill Mall held the grand opening for the latest addition, a kids play area.

A ribbon-cutting marked the official opening of the Northwoods-themed area. Along with new things to climb on, kids could get their face painted at the event, along with arts and crafts activities, balloon animals, and a photo booth. 

"We are thrilled to be able to open an indoor play area in Duluth," said Katie Katz, general manager at Miller Hill Mall. "Installing a children's play area has been a primary focus for us because we know how important it is to the families in our communities. The design will provide a warm and safe place for children to play all winter long and the theme will promote outdoor play in an indoor space."

Kids can scurry across rocks and log steps, leading into a large pine tree to climb on, along with a beaver mound and a friendly sleeping bear right near the Miller Creek Trout Pond. 

Parents and caregivers have perks as well; the backless benches with charging stations at every seat will provide a more convenient way to access strollers. There are also four stools, providing a place to eat while keeping a watchful eye on little ones. 

The play area is located just up from the Food Court, between Legacy Toys and Lane Bryant, and it's open anytime the mall is.
