A spokeswoman for the city clerk's office told the Duluth News Tribune he withdrew on Monday. This comes less than a week after he publicly announced his candidacy.

At the same time, there are three other candidates who've joined the race. The city of Duluth says Caleb Ford, Caleb Anderson and Jesse Peterson are running.

Mayor Emily Larson has filed for re-election. The deadline to file is Tuesday, June 18.
