Lincoln Park House Fire Ruled as Arson, Pet Missing

A structure fire early Monday morning in Duluth's Lincoln Park neigborhood has been ruled as arson.

The Duluth Fire Department said on Wednedsay that investigators now believe the cause of the fire was deliberate. 

The fire broke out around 5:22 a.m Monday morning on the 2200 Block of W 4th Street. Authorities say a woman had to jump out of the window of the 2-story residence to escape the fire. She remains in the ICU with burn injuries.

The home was occupied at the time by the woman, another man, a young girl, and four dogs. The Fire Department says three of the dogs were rescued and one is still missing. 

The Fire Department adds that smoke detectors alerted occupants of the fire. 

The incident remains under active investigation by the Duluth Police and Fire Departments.

If anyone has any information regarding this fire, they are asked to call 1-800-723-2020. There is a reward of up to $5000 from the Minnesota International Association of Arson Investigators, to any information that could lead to an arrest.
