Will Rogers, an athletic trainer for the Chicago Bears, lives in Chicago now, but wanted to do his part in raising awareness in his Superior hometown. His family and Superior community helped him organize a fundraiser at Superiors VIP Pizza where folks enjoyed an auction, beer sampling, and more.

"What we are hoping to do is we wanted him to see that his hometown has his back and of course help families going through a similar situation,” Tom Borich, a organizer for the fundraiser, said.

Will was able to see the fundraising event with his family via computer and was emotional seeing the amount of support from his hometown.

He's hoping to raise $150,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man and Woman of the Year Campaign. Folks can contribute to the campaign online by clicking here.
