Duluth Police search for suspect after Canal Park shooting

Officers are still looking for a suspect, but they do not believe there is a threat to the public because they say the parties involved knew each other.

The section of Lake Ave. near Green Mill in Canal Park was briefly closed to traffic between 9:30-10:30 p.m., but it has since reopened.

At approximately 9:28 p.m., Wednesday June 22. Duluth Police we’re dispatched to a shooting in Canal Park near Green Mill. Upon arrival officers located an individual that sustained a gun shot wound to the lower leg. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/r8AI6de4OV

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
