As part of Senior Citizen & Veteran Appreciation Day, they had a Senior Luncheon and announced the Senior Citizen of the Year. Also Thursday was the 4-H Club Exhibit Judging. Receiving a purple ribbon with Grand Champion honors was 4-H member Alexis Hanson. Hanson built a Tiny House from scratch, complete with a kitchen, bathroom, and loft.

"I ended up spending around $8,000 by myself, which seems like a lot of money at the age of 19," Hanson said. But she says the trailer is already starting to pay for itself as offers roll in. Hanson said it was appraised at $60,000, but she plans on asking for about half of that.

They were offering free caricature cartoons Thursday, drawn by Pete and Dian Wagner. They will be doing free Caricatures again Friday. They will also be holding a Cartooning and Drawing Workshop from 11 am to 12:30 pm as part of Kid's Day Friday. With each day having a theme, Saturday is 4-H Day, and Sunday is Family Day.

When speaking of Family Day, Treasurer of the Lake County Agricultural Society, Rena Ross, explained, "We have a horse show going on Sunday, and after that, we have fun family games where we do a frying pan toss, hay bail toss, and a blind-folded lawn mower race."

Gate admission is free for children ages 5 and under, $5 for adults and children over 5, and $3 for seniors over 65 and Military.
