Esko native Jenna Kutcher makes part of her living teaching about maximizing social media. But she never expected a vulnerable post about her own insecurity to make her go viral.

"Someone once slid into my (direct messages) and told me they couldn't believe I had managed to land a guy as good looking as (Drew)," Kutcher wrote on Instagram.

Drew is a health coach, and Jenna is a woman who has embraced her curves.

"Part of my insecurity with my body has stemmed around being married to Mr. 6-Pack himself. Why should I, a curvy girl get him?" Kutcher wrote. "I feel unworthy and when I write narratives in my head that because I am not thin, I don't deserve him."

Kutcher goes on to chronicle how her husband has embraced every curve and dimple for the last 10 years and always reminds her that she is beautiful.

The post has gotten more than 62,000 like and over 6,500 comments. Kutcher has gotten requests to appear on national TV shows and said she can't keep up with all the messages and emails she has gotten.

"It's been so crazy being able to just show up and show people a good representation of marriage and a good representation of health and worth and love," Kutcher said Tuesday. "So while there has been criticism and critics, there's also been a lot of grace extended to us."

She said they don't quite understand why there has been so much interest.

"I think that what is so interesting is not necessarily our story, because we're failing to see what is really newsworthy about two people that love each other that have different body types, but I think what is resonating is that everyone can see themselves reflected in our story," Kutcher said.

With the prevalence of social media, Kutcher thinks it's important to remain grounded.

"We're able to compare our lives so closely to the lives of strangers," Kutcher said. "And we're writing these narratives of what other people's lives look like and what we think our lives are lacking."

Kutcher said while they continue to be surprised by how her post has taken off, they're glad to spread this message. She joked her ultimate goal is to get on the Ellen show.

The couple is moving back to the Northland at the beginning of April. They bought a house in Hermantown, and Kutcher said she is very excited to become a part of this community.
