One person is dead after an ATV crash in rural Itasca County on May 25th.

Dispatch received a report of an ATV crash on US Forestry Road 2182. Responding deputies found an ATV off the road way. 32-year-old Jason Lee Schultz was found dead as a result of injuries from the crash.

Schultz was not wearing a helmet at the time of the rash. Officials say it's unclear if alcohol was a contributing factor.

The Itasca County Sheriff's Office was assisted by MNDNR Enforcement Division, US Forestry Enforcement Division, Bigfork Ambulance, and Effie County Services.

Itasca County continues to investigate the crash.
