The school district says it was notified of a potential bomb threat at Falls High School at 10:53 a.m.  Police officers and firefighters helped the school evacuate students form both Falls High and Falls Elementary.

Authorities conducted preliminary searches of both schools.  A joint statement from the school district, police department, and Koochiching County Sheriff's Office did not indicate whether anything suspicious was found, or explain how the threat was made.

All extracurricular activities for Monday evening have been canceled.
