Prom Dress Giveaway Hits the Road

Updated: February 21, 2020 05:38 PM

If the Dress Fits has grown so much in five years, they are now able to bring their free prom dress giveaway on the road!

Founder Ashleigh Arntson, an Esko grad, said, "It's really exciting to see the growth. It's fun to be able to take it on the road, and help as many people as possible, and keep spreading the love. This was always our goal, to take this on the road."

They were able to find new homes for 113 dresses two weeks ago in Moorhead. Dresses come from individuals and bridal shops.

Arntson and her mother, Amy, even found a new spot for all of the gowns. They had to rent heat-controlled storage facility, because the Arntson basement had run out of room.

The tour includes stops this weekend and in March:

Littlefork at the school on Saturday, February 22nd, from 2-5pm.

Barnum at the high school on Sunday, February 23rd, from 2-4pm.

Duluth at Bella Rose Bridal on Sunday, March 15th from 4:30-7pm

Duluth at Bella Rose Bridal on Monday, March 16th from 2:30-6pm.

They are taking donations of dresses at Bella Rose Bridal and Blue Arrow Boutique in Superior.
