Body Found near Lake of the Woods ID'd as Man Missing Since Fall

Police say the body found near a community on Lake of the Woods in Ontario has been identified as a man who had been missing since last October.

The remains of 26-year-old Bradley Kirkrude, Jr., were found near the Big Island First Nation on May 15.  He lived at Big Island and had last been seen leaving a residence in the community.

Ontario Provincial Police say they and Treaty Three Police Service are continuing to investigate the circumstances of Kirkrude's death.  They ask people with information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Big Island First Nation is on the eastern side of Lake of the Woods, about an hour and a half drive northwest of Fort Frances/International Falls.
