UPDATE: Driver Located in Lakewood Twp. Hit-And-Run Incident

DULUTH - The driver of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in Lakewood Township on February 2 has been located.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, the driver was identified and has been interviewed by authorities.  No further information is available at this time. The Sheriff's Office thanks the community for helping to spread the word on this incident. 

Authorities say 38-year-old Ingemar Lindstrom sustained serious bruises after being hit by a vehicle on Friday. The vehicle involved did not stop and ran off. 

According to the sheriff's office, Lindstrom was walking with another person on North Tischer Road around 11:00 p.m. when the incident occurred. Lindstrom and the other person were both wearing reflective, hi-visibility clothing. 

At the time, Lindstrom was unable to get a description of the vehicle that hit him. 

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office asked for help in getting the vehicle description out to the public.
